Photo Bracelets
Take a photo, it'll last longer. We all have photos on our mantelpiece, but how many of us have them on our bracelet?
That's right, technology and skilled artisans have developed to a point where we can carry those we love on our wrists.
Photo bracelets come in various forms, including charms and lockets, all with the intention to keep your beloved picture on hand. You can choose to showcase these images to the world in a mini frame charm or as a private gallery just for you.
Whatever you choose, having a photo bracelet is a great way to rock a unique accessory while adding style to your look.

A custom bracelet is a meaningful way to pay homage to those you love. Perhaps it's a message from your friends or an image captured from your anniversary; photo bracelets bring cherished moments to life again and again.
So, we know what they do, but how do they work?
Well, it depends on the type of bracelet. Some include a simple chain with picture frame charms adorning an image within, and it's a great way to showcase your best friends or close family members.
Other photo bracelets use technology in different ways. A phone camera is often required to see the photos as they are too small or distorted for the naked eye.
Some photo bracelet types also allow you to project the image onto the flat surface of your choice - how cool is that!
Are they a gimmick, a toy? Or much more? Let's get personal and break down what a photo bracelet means.
Engraved jewellery displaying a loved one's initials is beautiful and enough for a lot of people. But others looking for another level of customisation should get a photo bracelet.
You can use whatever image captured in your life and place it on or in your bracelet forever. Feeling homesick? Your family is right there, smiling and waving up at you.
Photo bracelets can save lives by storing detailed information about health conditions or other important things heath responders should know.
Photo bracelets are the best gift, too. You can place an image of their loved ones or interests into a bracelet with the reassurance that no other bracelet has the same meaning.
What's more, because skilled artisans know how important photo bracelets are to customers, they take care to create high-quality, handcrafted (and durable) bracelets that will keep our images safe.
It may feel like magic, but it's actually clever technology at work.
One of the most popular types of photo bracelets is the photo projection bracelet which can also be key ring and uses a light source or your phone to project the image.
It does this with a technology that micro-engraves the chosen picture that can be seen when light is projected onto its small lens. It will look like any other bracelet, other than the projection stone that can easily be mistaken for a charm.
To see the image through your phone, all you need to do is hold the phone's camera to the stone, and you will see it through the screen.
For everyone to see, why not project it onto your wall or the pavement? Turn on your phone's flashlight and shine it through the back of the stone, pointing it onto any flat surface you wish. Don't expect to see anything in the daytime, though; it will need to be nice and dark.
If you want a more intimate experience, you can also simply hold up the bracelet to one eye, it'll be small, but you'll see it clear as day.
To an extent.
Photo projection bracelets use a very small lens that relies on optical technology; it's not actually powered by anything. This means you're safe to shower with it, but it's not advised.
The bracelet's material usually consists of stainless steel or sterling silver. they are among some of the most water-resistant materials, but harsh chemicals can still wear them out over time.
With a photo bracelet that uses charms, water can get into every crack and crevice. If you forget to take it off or the bracelet is looking worn out, clean it with warm water and a soft toothbrush.
Prefer to take the charm route? Good choice, charms are wonderful additions that bring an extra bout of personality and storytelling to any bracelet.
You can begin with a simple, sturdy chain and search the internet or jewellery stores for photo charms. For a discreet approach, begin with a letter bracelet or charm to represent their name.
Think about what style you're going for and choose the charms to match. Some will be big, others more delicate. If you want to commemorate a pet, perhaps get a photo charm in the shape of a pawprint, the options are unlimited!
Once you have your frame charm, follow the steps to place the picture of your choice in it. Make sure it's high quality enough, you don't want a blurry smudge.
Whatever one you like!

Jewellery can be very fiddly, especially if the pendant or locket is designed with special mechanisms that hold everything in place.
For the majority of lockets, placing a photo inside is relatively easy. After you have printed it out and trimmed it to size, gently open up the locket.
In most cases, there will be a release mechanism that will pop open, slip in the photo and ensure it's straight. If everything fits correctly, the locket should close shut completely; if it doesn't, it needs to be adjusted.
