Moissanite Rings
We have a large moissanite ring collection at Camile & Stone. It includes yellow and white gold moissanite rings. You can also find rose gold moissanite rings in our inventory.
Moissanite and diamonds look similar. You probably can’t tell the difference between the two actually. At least, not unless you’re a Jeweller.
It’s almost as hard as diamonds are too. Moissanite sits just below it on the Mohs scale. (The Mohs scale measures how hard various gemstones are. Diamonds are a 10!)
Moissanite can be found naturally on earth but they’re not often mined now. Most moissanite is usually lab-grown. This means it harms the environment less than diamonds do.
Our engagement ring collection includes moissanite and diamond. We want everyone to find the right ring for their finger–even if they’re on a budget. Moissanite is also chosen when someone wants to avoid the ethical issues of diamonds too. (Note: We only use ethical gemstones at Camile & Stone).

The moissanite stone isn’t as famous as diamond is. It’s still a worthy stone though. We offer many unique moissanite rings in this collection. For example, our Peyton ring is a really lovely choice. It’s also budget friendly.
A moissanite ring is a good idea if an actual diamond ring isn’t important to you. Not many people can really tell the difference either.
We love affordable moissanite rings but there can be some cons to choosing them. Moissanite engagement rings can scratch more than diamond ones do because moissanite is softer than diamonds are. Though it is still very durable.
Moissanite wedding rings are also (obviously) not diamonds. This downside really does matter to some people. So, even if a person on the street couldn't tell the difference, knowing it's not a diamond could be the break for some people.
The moissanite stone can also sometimes have a yellowish hue that the very clear diamond does not.
No - moissanite isn't a fake diamond. Moissanite is a stone in its own right. It can actually be found naturally on Earth, even if much of the moissanite we see today is grown in a lab.
Ethical moissanite rings are the lab-grown kind because they don't harm the environment. Camile & Stone's diamonds are ethically sourced, just like our moissanite. However, moissanite can help you avoid any of the negative connotations of diamonds altogether.
So, moissanite is not fake diamond. It's its own thing. And it can be a good alternative to the latter.
Moissanite will last your whole life. Just like diamond.
The stone is just below diamond on the Mohs scale. This means it's a hard and durable stone. So, it is resistant to damage and scratches. It can also withstand environmental weather issues.
However, you can maintain your moissanite so it lasts longer using these following steps.
Yes, you can get coloured moissanite rings. Like diamond, moissanite does come coloured naturally. But with most of it being lab-grown, you can also get lab-grown coloured moissanite.
Coloured moissanite is great for stones that look like the precious gems. Moissanite can be blue which makes it look like blue sapphires. Moissanite also comes in other colours like pink and green.
Moissanite doesn't only have to be white like the diamond-looking style. Coloured moissanite can be used in engagement rings.
Vintage moissanite rings can be found in antique shops or pawn shops. They might be at an estate sale when someone wealthy has passed away. You might also get a moissanite ring passed down to you too, as an heirloom.
If you like the vintage style but can't find a real piece, you could try custom moissanite rings. These are made specifically for you. The designer or jeweller could make the moissanite ring in a vintage style you like. It will look just like the original.
Additionally, Camile & Stone offers rings that have vintage vibes. Like the Emerald Solitaire ring.
We recommend moissanite stone to everyone. Here's some of the reasons we do so.
Technically yes. Moissanite is a really hard stone so it's durable. It shouldn’t be damaged by water, but you still shouldn’t shower in it. While it can withstand washing with warm soapy water, lots of exposure to water is bad for moissanite.
Long showers could lead to the stone getting damaged over time. And it can damage the setting and the metal of the ring. On top of this, you could lose the ring in the shower if you're not careful. You could also accidentally damage it. Moissanite can sometimes scratch and the vigorous activity of things like hair-washing could lead to accidental marks.
We recommend removing the ring before a shower. You can store it in the pouches we send all our jewellery in. This will keep it safe for you.
