For further information about the bracelets we have for men, we have answered some FAQs below.

Should men wear bracelets?

Yes, why not?

Jewellery isn't only for women! Camile & Stone has a huge bracelet selection all specifically designed for men!

We've always considered men's jewellery preferences along with our women’s styles at Camile & Stone. We design jewellery that can be worn by all genders. Men are entirely welcome to find bracelets in our women's bracelet collection if the styles are preferable to the styles in the men's section!

Jewellery is about expressing your style, not about your gender!

What are bracelets for men called?

Bracelets for men are usually just called bracelets. You might hear them referred to by these names though.

  • Cuffs: Men's cuff bracelet styles, like this Molten Cuff Bangle Bracelet, are just like women's.
  • Chains: These are common for men and women. Chains come in many different varieties.
  • Bands: Men often wear charity bands are bracelets too. These are usually made of rubber.

Should men wear bracelets on their left or right wrist?

Some people think the wrist a man wears a bracelet has some significance. But just like with earrings, and the lobe you choose, there isn’t a rule for bracelets!

The wrist you wear your jewellery on can be impacted by a few things, though none of them are arbitrary rules!

You may wear a watch or smartwatch on one wrist, leaving you to adorn the other with cuffs and braided bands. You might also choose to stack your bracelets on top of your watch. Or, you might not wear a watch at all, which makes the whole debate superfluous!

What we’re saying here is that it really doesn’t matter. The wrist you were a bracelet on really doesn’t mean anything. It is entirely down to personal preference and comfort.

What style of bracelets are suitable for men?

The bracelets that are suitable for men are the styles which men choose to wear. What this means is no matter what an online article or ‘style expert’ says, there isn’t really any style of bracelet more suitable for a man. Jewellery is about self-expression, so you should wear styles you like.

If you prefer men's bracelets with cross charms then choose it. While there are some ‘suitable’ styles for men and some ‘unsuitable,’ the truth of the matter is that it’s what you deem suitable, not what anyone else thinks.

What materials are bracelets for men made from?

Some common materials include:

  • Silver, gold, and rose gold: We offer sterling silver and rose gold vermeil. We also have men’s bracelets in gold vermeil and solid gold These metals are common for jewellery because of their durability.
  • Leather bracelets: These styles might be plaited or braided. However, you might also find chunky leather cuffs.
  • Beaded styles: Men's bracelets with beads come in lots of colours and often the beads used can have meaning. Bead materials may include plastic, gemstones, wood, or metal.
  • Rubber bands: Some men choose to wear rubber charity bands along with metal and leather pieces.

Can I wear a bracelet when I work out?

All the jewellery we have at Camile & Stone is designed with longevity in mind. That being said, we don’t recommend wearing jewellery to work out. That’s because you could accidentally damage or break your pieces with the increased movement.

On top of this, long exposure to water and moisture can damage some materials. So, excessive sweating might ruin your jewellery. This also means you shouldn’t shower in your pieces.

Keeping jewellery cleaned and doing so regularly can help extend its life. But you should always avoid harsh chemicals which could damage the bracelet. Seek professional cleaning help if you’re stuck.

Is there any symbolism in men wearing bracelets?

While jewellery is always going to be an expression of your identity, there is another significance attached to bracelets for men. These include:

  • Strength and masculinity: Certain metals (like gold) and materials like leather have long been associated with strength, status, and traditional masculinity.
  • A connection with nature: For bracelets made out of natural materials, like wood and hemp, there is an associated significance for nature lovers.
  • Tribute: Some men wear bracelets in tribute to family or friends.
  • Identity: Men often choose military styles, like ID tags, which are associated with identity.

What are some trending styles for male bracelets in fashion?

Some common styles that crop up again and again include:

  • Chain bracelets: There are many types of chains. So, different kinds of chains go in and out of style often.
  • Beaded bracelets: Men's beaded bracelet styles are often made from wood too. They can be stacked with other styles or worn alone.
  • Men's bracelets with charms: Including styles like men's bracelets with anchor charms or crosses, these might be leather bracelets or woven styles with an added charm.

Can a girl give a guy a bracelet?

Of course. In fact, a bracelet or other jewellery piece could be the perfect expression of love for  Valentine's Day or another special occasion.

At Camile & Stone, we offer styles that make the perfect gift for men, including personalised engraved bracelets. Engravings can be added that include a significant date, a fingerprint, or a simple initial engraving, and we offer lots of customised styles to choose from.

Ensure that when choosing a gift for your loved one, you consider their style. Men's leather bracelet styles might be suitable for some men but others might prefer stainless steel or gold chain options.

Should men wear bracelets for special occasions?

Special occasions are the perfect opportunity for you to express your personal style. Formal events are actually a good time to wear your really expensive jewellery!

When choosing a bracelet for a special occasion, always consider what kind of event you're going to. For weddings and formal events, an understated chain might be an elegant addition to your outfit.

For a special date or birthday, leather and woven styles are more appropriate, but that doesn't mean you can wear your favourite gold chain either!

You should also consider how the bracelet you choose works with the outfit. For example, a colourful bracelet could add something bold to a simple outfit. A simple chain might add elegance to a formal one.
